The truth

Borodawka

My art derives from an essence of deconstruction. My initial process is similar to that of the archaeologist, believing that humans are creatures that live on the surface of reality, never taking into consideration the beauty beneath the cracks. Dusting the cloud of dirt to reveal the fortune beneath. Peeling back the layers through a treacherous trial. The message unveils itself to be restored and never forgotten.
I seek revelation in the deeper meaning behind people's chosen imagery. A person's sense of worth depends to no small extent upon how others view them. I search to uncover the truest beauty behind people's chosen expression.
(1) Expression

Both time and culture play a rather substantial role in shaping the human psyche. A person's self expression takes on many forms, yet there seems to be instinctive and intrinsic desire to create and express one's inner voice through physical means. The cycle of inspiration is continuous and with eternal flow. As life manifests the conflict and changes within will radiate outward. A continuous attraction guides the artist. There is a curtain draw to humans' internal instincts when dealing with biology, humans in my opinion are a collective literature of physical and spiritual vivacity. With this in mind I take much inspiration, and put forth art that defines biomimicry yet also the hidden forces that bind us together with nature.

(2) Design

Fashion Design is where I find my path and the start of my story. I want to create clothing that triggers a visceral response that ranges everywhere from awe to aversion. And at times a combination of the two. I want to capitalize on people that need to be seen and provide a persona for them to identify with, that empowers them and creates an emotional response in the viewer and the wearer.

(3) Concept

As if overcome by an insatiable need to transform ideas into reality my artistic expression is manifested in different forms. This is for me and you. A journey from vision to reality. Perhaps give a new perspective to beauty. I believe we see beauty through two sets of eyes, one physical and one psychological. Our physical are eyes seduced through shape and line, while our psychological eyes lend beauty to reason and emotion. Both eyes play a significant role when searching for art that has a voice. A quotation that stands out to me is, “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.”(Cesar A. Cruz). This is what compels me to materialy manifest my vision.

Distance Between
Two Truths

As humanity evolves, so does the artist.

As time goes by and as I continue to gain new disciplines, my vision is transformed. New experiences give light to new inspiration. And as I learn more about myself and the people around me my opinions and views of society melt and morph into new forms. That can then be reflected onto the eyes of the public. The public can then reflect inwardly at this relationship and find out why they felt it to be so meaningful I have a natural aptitude for fashion design and an intuitive understanding of garment construction. A rich imagination is evident in my drawings. My most notable qualities are a great passion for design and relentless enthusiasm for innovation. With a fearless attitude toward new ideas, I am eager to experiment with unconventional design and unconventional materials such as high performance technology-embedded fabrics, all in an effort to create a unique garment. While creating inside and outside of the classroom, I am a team player who is comfortable encouraging, assisting, and guiding my classmates.  I maintain a positive presence, with my open, mindful, and energetic personality. I would hope I would be an asset to any classroom. I want to be a pioneer in the future of the fashion industry.

Creating an opportunity to express the middle space between two truths to find a common ground between people. My expressions have their focus in the malleable relationship between the art and the silent observer.
